At the General Meeting of the Society held on 22 March, the following resolution was passed as set out in the Notice sent with “Paddle Wheels”
Preparations are now well underway for MV Balmoral to at last leave her berth in Bristol City Docks for the Sharpness Dry Dock.
Kingswear Castle is the Society’s coal fired river paddle steamer now on extended charter to the Dartmouth Steam Railway and Riverboat Company and used on summer excursions from Dartmouth and Totnes on the River Dart in South Devon.
MV Balmoral Fund Ltd. achieved charitable status in early January and PSPS has now fulfilled its pledge and passed over all the funds (£6,204.77) it was holding for the benefit of the Motor Vessel.

PSPS’ Council of Management has agreed to transfer approx. £6,000 directly to MV Balmoral Fund Ltd. once it gains charitable status, in a gesture of confidence in those now running the project to restore the ship. The 2013 AGM was held at the National Railway Museum, York on Saturday 26th October 2013. The meeting was attended by 62 members and ran from 13:30 until 17:05, with a 25 minute break for refreshments.
The draw took place on 26th October at the Society’s AGM at York and was made by Captain John Megoran, former skipper of P.S. Kingswear Castle.
