Kingswear Castle Evening Cruise

On 22 June 2019, Wessex & Dart Branch again took advantage of one of the ‘promotional cruises’ agreed when KC returned to the Dart.

Dart Company’s Contribution Recognised

At a ceremony at Kingswear on 14 April, a Certificate conferring Honorary Membership of the Society to the Dartmouth Steam Railway and River Boat Company was presented.

Kingswear Castle Presented With IMechE Award

Earlier today the Institution of Mechanical Engineers presented Kingswear Castle with an Engineering Heritage Award as a mark of her unique place in British maritime history.

Kingswear Castle’s Refit 2013-14

Kingswear Castle is the Society’s coal fired river paddle steamer now on extended charter to the Dartmouth Steam Railway and Riverboat Company and used on summer excursions from Dartmouth and Totnes on the River Dart in South Devon.
