On 22 June 2019, Wessex & Dart Branch again took advantage of one of the ‘promotional cruises’ agreed when KC returned to the Dart.

Earlier today the Institution of Mechanical Engineers presented Kingswear Castle with an Engineering Heritage Award as a mark of her unique place in British maritime history.
Kingswear Castle is the Society’s coal fired river paddle steamer now on extended charter to the Dartmouth Steam Railway and Riverboat Company and used on summer excursions from Dartmouth and Totnes on the River Dart in South Devon.
