On Saturday 29th September 1973 the PSPS chartered Waverley for a “Five Lochs Cruise”. It was to be Waverley’s final month in service with Caledonian MacBrayne.

On Sunday 3rd June 1973 Waverley was off service repairing a burst boiler tube.
