With the Elbe showing a rise of 0.87m above datum at 09.00 this morning there is just enough water for the Dresden paddle steamers to sail today all the way through Saxon Switzerland between Dresden and Bad Schandau in the south with departures at 09.30 southwards from Dresden and also at 09.30 northwards from Bad Schandau.

There are also cruises scheduled to run to Castle Pillnitz leaving Dresden at 10.00 and 14.00 and hour and a half round trips from Dresden at 11.00, 13.00 and 15.00.

The autumn season of sailings is due to end on Sunday 4th November so fingers crossed for enough water for the complete schedule to run over the next few days.
