Captain Kuno Stein Retires
Captain Kuno Stein, who will be known to many PSPS members, has retired as a paddle steamer captain on Lake Lucerne after a long career.
He has been a great advocate for paddle steamers throughout his life and in setting up a steamship magazine in 1970, when he was just 16, helped to change opinions which led to the Lucerne paddle steamers being seen as heritage assets to be restored and cherished rather than old hat to be withdrawn and scrapped.
