22nd August 2026: Lake Geneva
In order to even up the kilometres steamed by each paddle steamer on Lake Geneva, PS Montreux was brought out of reserve on Wednesday 18th August to take over from Savoie which is now laid up in the Ouchy Shipyard. Montreux will run circuits of the eastern lake from Lausanne and the evening cruises to Yvoire in place of Savoie at least until the end of the month.
In addition Italie will not now replace Vevey on her roster based on circuits of the lake between Montreux Vevey and St Gingolph. Instead she will replace Montreux as reserve ship at Ouchy available to be called into service at short notice as, when and if needed.
