2014 Waverley Western Isles and Clyde Timetables

The completed Clyde and Western Isles timetables for Waverley have now been published and are available online at www.waverleyexcursions.co.uk. The final timetable was delayed as arrangements were put in place to ensure that Waverley takes part in the Commonwealth Games which take place in Glasgow between 23rd July and 3rd August.

The 2014 Clyde & Western Isles timetable contains many cruises of particular note. In summary these are:

Tuesday 27th MayWaverley will now call at Lochranza before rounding the Mull of Kintyre and calling at Port Ellen. This will be the first occasion where she will have steamed from Lochranza to Port Ellen.

Thursday 29th MayWaverley returns to Portree after an absence of a few years. She will also sail from Portree on Friday 30th May offering a cruise round Raasay.

Tuesday 3rd June – On route back to the Clyde from Oban she will once again call at Port Ellen before making her way to Tarbert. This allows a round trip for Oban passengers as they can depart at Tarbert for a coach connection back to Oban since the berth at Campbeltown is unavailable to Waverley this year.

Thursday 26th JuneWaverley is on charter to the Scottish Branch and this year she will offer an evening sunset cruise through the Kyles of Bute from Largs and Millport – a sailing not to be missed.

Saturday 26th JulyWaverley will take part in the Commonwealth flotilla as she escorts the ships up the river Clyde to Glasgow.

Friday 1st AugustWaverley will offer two cruises from the city down the river to Clydebank.

Saturday 2nd AugustWaverley will sail from Largs, Millport and Brodick before cruising round Arran, returning to Glasgow in the evening.

Friday 8th August – Celebrate 40 years since the ship was gifted to the PSPS for just £1. The celebration cruise will take the paddler to Ardrossan before cruising to Lochranza and round Inchmarnock Island – another first and a cruise not to be missed.
