Slight Change In Venue For Bristol Meetings

We have just received some very good news from the M.V. Balmoral Fund. “Balmoral”, which has recently used in the making of a feature film, is being allowed to remain at her current berth outside the M Shed Museum on Princes Wharf until the spring.
This means that she will not be moored at The Mardyke Wharf as advertised in the National Programme of Meetings and Events which was issued with the last edition of Paddle Wheels.
Instead, she will be at Princes Wharf, Bristol, BS1 4RN. We apologise for this late change of plan, but are delighted that the ship will now remain in a far more convenient and prominent position right in the city centre. She is right beside the M Shed Museum and the numerous eateries and shops which have developed nearby. It is possible to walk along the quayside from the S.S. Great Britain car park or Temple Meads Station, and the area is well-served by buses.
A great deal of work has been carried out on board “Balmoral” since we were last able to hold branch meetings there, and we hope that being able to meet on board this much-loved ship back in her traditional winter berth will prove a great incentive for members and guests to attend our programme of winter talks.
