Evening Charter 2014
On Thursday 26th June, under the command of Captain Colledge, Waverley departed Largs for an evening cruise to the Kyles of Bute via Keppel.
The Branch is grateful to the Captain, officers and crew of Waverley, the staff at Lancefield Quay and all those who helped make this a successful event.
The queue stretched the length of Largs Pier.
Some passengers chose to skip the queue. Loch Riddon and Loch Shira cross in the background. In the distance is the French cable ship René Descartes. She has been busy laying fibre optic telecoms cables between Largs and Millport, and Cumbrae and Kilchattan Bay.

With Millport Pier closed Waverley called at Keppel Pier. Note the PSPS Scottish Branch flag.
Millport Pipe Band provided the outdoor ambient music at Keppel. Down below ‘The Fantastic Equinox’ had feet tapping in the Jeanie Deans lounge.
Waverley powers away from Keppel bound for the Kyles of Bute.
The 500 passengers on board enjoyed a fine evening of cruising.
Back at Largs Waverley briefly joined Loch Riddon and Loch Shira whilst all remaining passenger disembarked.
Waverley departs Largs to return to Pacific Quay.
