Profile

Martin saw his first paddle steamers on Lake Lucerne in 1966. He joined the Society in 1971. He became involved with the Save the Lincoln Castle campaign in 1978 and, as a result, was invited to join the then PSPS Central Committee. He became National Treasurer on 22 March 1980.

Martin has also been a volunteer at the Isle of Wight Steam Railway since 1971.

He retired in 2012 after 35 years as an accountant with the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames.
