Bournemouth Pier has been a regular calling point for Waverley since she first visited the South Coast in 1978. Many will recognise an image of Waverley alongside the famous pier but following the opening of the first pier to shore zip wire in the world in September 2014 a new vantage point has allowed some unusual images to be captured.

The PierZip offers a birds eye view of the pier and indeed any vessel berthed at it as users enjoy the 30 second thrilling ride. Regular zip wire user and photographer Carl Draper has given permission to share some of his photographs taken during Waverley’s 2016 season. Carl has managed to capture some stunning shots and the PSPS is very grateful to him for allowing his images to be used.
