23rd September 1972 PSPS Charter to Inveraray

On Saturday 23rd September 1972 the PSPS chartered Waverley for a sailing from Gourock to Inveraray, calling at Wemyss Bay, Largs and Rothesay.

As can be seen above, Waverley’s appearance for that year was different. 1972 was the only season where she had buff funnels and black paddle boxes.
