Tickets for Waverley on Friday 8th August for the Anniversary Cruise to mark the transfer of ownership of the vessel from Caledonian MacBrayne to PSPS are continuing to sell fast. PSPS or Clyde River Steamer Club members who are wishing to sail are advised to book in advance to guarantee a place on board.

PSPS Vice Presidents Terry Sylvester and Douglas McGowan will be joined by former CalMac Chief Executive John Whittle aboard as the three men consider the events of 40 years ago when Waverley was gifted for preservation. It is also expected that current senior managers from CalMac will be on board during the course of the day.

To help create a special sailing a Souvenir Raffle Brochure has been produced and will only be sold on Waverley during the sailing. Every passenger who purchases a Brochure will automatically be entered into the raffle. Each Brochure is priced at £1!

In addition the Scottish Branch of the PSPS has been donated an Ian Orchardson original and this will be offered for auction. Representatives from the Arran Distillery will join the ship at Ardrossan and passengers going ashore at Lochranza will be offered discounted tours of the distillery, although places are limited. There will also be a 3 piece band to help create an atmosphere of celebration. This is a cruise not to be missed!
