A look back at the 1989 season when over 300,000 passenger journeys were made on Waverley and Balmoral.
It has been announced that MV Balmoral will not be operating in 2018.
Motor Vessel Balmoral will return to the Clyde for the Glasgow September Holiday weekend.
Geoff Hale has shot and produced this excellent video of Balmoral’s preparation and participation at the Bristol Harbour Festival.
Geoff Hale has produced another first class video documenting Balmoral’s return journey from Sharpness to Bristol on 7th and 8th May.
Balmoral will leave Sharpness Dry Dock on Saturday morning, berth at Avonmouth overnight before sailing up the River Avon on Sunday.
Great progress has been made on Balmoral with some replating now being carried out.
Geoff Hale has produced another excellent Balmoral video documenting her journey on 13th May from Bristol to Sharpness.
MV Balmoral departed Bristol early on Monday 12th May bound for dry dock at Sharpness. She is now in dry dock where a full inspection of her hull can be carried out. To help ensure that she sails again please donate online now.
To keep members updated on Balmoral’s progress, extra meetings will be held on Saturday 17th May and Saturday 12th July.
The following press release was issued today by MV Balmoral Fund Ltd. detailing Balmoral’s departure from Bristol on Tuesday 13th May to Avonmouth and dry dock at Sharpness.
Preparations are now well underway for MV Balmoral to at last leave her berth in Bristol City Docks for the Sharpness Dry Dock.

On Saturday 31st August at 2pm there will be a meeting held aboard Balmoral at her berth outside the M Shed in Bristol city docks. All supporters are invited to attend to hear of the latest developments for bringing the ship back into operation.
