Waverley – Coming Alive Again
For the first time since October the Clyde echoed to the sound of paddle wheels. With a long blast on her steam whistle Waverley departed Pacific Quay just after 10am for Greenock and her annual dry docking.

Clyde Marine tug Biter leads Waverley down stream.
Compass swinging manoeuvres were performed off Gourock. After a stop at Custom House Quay tugs Battler and Biter gently manoeuvred her in to Garvel dry dock.
Waverley nestled up to SD Moorfowl in Garvel dry dock. In the background the two year old superyacht Hampshire II departs James Watt Dock. She is five metres longer than Waverley.
Waverley blows down her boilers as she settles on the keel blocks. She is expected to remain in dry dock for two weeks.
