New Waverley Excursions Chairman Announced

A warm welcome to Vic Emery OBE who has become chairman of Waverley Excursions Ltd (WEL).
Vic has extensive public, private and voluntary sector experience. Currently Chairman of the Civil Nuclear Police Authority Board, he served previously in the same role with the Scottish Police Services Authority and the Scottish Police Authority and played a major governance and advisory role in bringing the Edinburgh Trams project back on track.
For over ten years he was Group Managing Director of BAE Systems and a member of its Operational Board for five, with his OBE being awarded for services to shipbuilding. He is Chairman of Zero Waste Scotland, the Scottish Maritime Museum and Thoughthive Ltd (a cyber security company) as well as a past president and board member of the Glasgow Chamber of Commerce and a board member of the Scottish Regional Advisory Board.
It is a great tribute to WEL’s reputation that someone of Vic’s standing and experience has agreed to become chairman and we look forward to him building on the firm foundations laid by David Kells.
