The ticket collection consists of over 1,000 tickets and passes dating from the late 19th Century to the present day.
It shows the development of ticket design and includes everyday tickets, period passes, season and commemorative tickets.

Card complimentary ticket issued by Cosens & Co. Ltd.for their paddle steamers during the 1939 season. The ticket entitled the holder to travel aboard the steamers during the season. The paper part of the ticket is pasted inside onto a folded card . The wording ‘COSENS and CO. PS Cambria card souvenir ticket for a special cruise on Saturday 26th June 1897 to see the ‘Royal Naval Review’ at Spithead to mark the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria. The edge of the ticket is scalloped and the left-hand side is serrated and was once attached to the other part of ticket.
